Camp Overview
The modern game is dependant on fluid movement, mobile players and is played at pace. Players are required to have a great deal of technical ability and tactical understanding. This understanding is based on time and space. When on offense, time and space must be created through technical ability and tactical movement. On defense, the ability of the player to understand how and when to press to deny space is paramount. Players coming to the overnight camp will be shown the demands of the modern game, they will be required to play in multiple systems, be shown the technical ability that is required to be this flexible, and be asked to exhibit tactical understanding to do this at pace.

The overnight camp is there to give the player a feeling for life on the campus of Lamar University. This experience will be an intense 4 days and three nights of the highest caliber of training and playing geared towards the preparation of the player to move to the next level. The daily schedule will consist of three sessions involving the technical and tactical improvement of the player. The morning session will consist of individual and small group tactics while the afternoon will be about larger group and team tactics. The twilight games will be held every night so that players can learn how to play in many different formations, different positions and with different players.
